XHAL.UK — AI with Humanity. People First, Always.
This is where our journey began. In 2020, I saw the gaps in the way AI was being built — dominated by large corporations and driven by profit, while leaving behind the people who needed it most: those in vulnerable communities, underserved regions, and students with learning difficulties. XHAL.UK was created to close those gaps, proving that AI could be developed responsibly, with empathy and inclusion at its heart.
From our Youth Academy and charitable partnerships with organisations like UNICEF and Christian Aid, to our advocacy campaigns such as Beyond the Prompt and People-First AI, our mission has always been clear: technology should serve humanity, not the other way around.
Today, that mission is reflected in our products — Teddy AI™, Echo Minds™, and Rapid LMS™ — each built on safeguarding, accessibility, and personal empowerment. Together, they show what happens when AI is designed not just to be intelligent, but to be compassionate.
Our journey in AI began in early 2020, before artificial intelligence became the everyday name it is today. We first operated as Business Futures 2022, but by late 2023 we broke out and formed our own identity — XHAL.UK.
From the start, our focus has been on closing the gaps we see in AI. Too many organisations talk about “ethical AI” as a buzzword — even mobile phones claim to be ethical — but what does that really mean? For us, it means something deeper: a mission statement built on one principle — people first at the heart of AI.
After all, AI learns from what people ask it. If we lose human skills, we weaken the very power of AI. That’s why we launched our global campaigns such as People First AI and Beyond the Prompt — bringing the conversation into schools, communities, and even government. Our input has already shaped the debate on ethical AI, including the latest European laws.
We are more than a profit-driven AI products company — we are a movement. But we also know that movements need real tools. That’s why we build products and services that not only support our mission, but also deliver real impact for education, healthcare, and business.
